OYAJUMO, Elizabeth Aderonke Appointed as Substantive Director of Administration at Federal Medical Centre, Owo
The Federal Ministry of Health & Social Welfare, Abuja, has appointed Oyajumo, Elizabeth Aderonke as the substantive Director of Administration and Head of Administration at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, Ondo State.
According to the letter dated March 6, 2025, with Reference Number SMH 587/S.23/T1/79, her appointment takes effect from February 21, 2025. Prior to this, Oyajumo had been serving in an acting capacity since February 6, 2024, following the retirement of the immediate Pastor Director of Administration.
She is the fourth substantive Director of Administration and the first woman to hold this position in the hospital. During her tenure as Acting Director, she implemented significant improvements in the hospital’s administrative processes.
A native of Owo, Ondo State, Oyajumo is an Asconian and alumna of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo; Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko; and the Federal University of Technology, Akure. She holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration & Management, a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Public Administration, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
A seasoned Administrator, She began her career at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, on July 1, 1996, as a Youth Corps Member. Following a successful employment interview in February 1997, she was appointed as an Assistant Secretary II/Administrative Officer II on EUSS 07. She officially assumed duty on July 1, 1997, and steadily rose through the ranks, attaining the position of Deputy Director (Administration) on CONHESS 14 in 2020 before her latest appointment.

Secretary,Staff Co-operative Multipurpose Society (SCMS) Limited (two tenures).
Secretary, Board of Trustees (BOT) on Pension Scheme for years.
Secretary, Senior and Junior Staff Committees for many years.
Secretary, Top Management Committee for years.
Member & Secretary, Various Board/Management Administrative Panels of Enquiries.

An ASCONIAN and distinguished alumna of her alma maters, Oyajumo holds professional qualifications as an Associate Member of the Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria (IHSAN) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) (NIM). She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administrators of Nigeria (ICAD).
